ABOUT US

Gyan Mudra is a small 24-hour supported, 16+ semi-independent accommodation provision based in Ilford, Essex.  We are part of EpicUK Ltd, a company which supports young people to grow into confident, independent, and self-sufficient adults.  At Gyan Mudra house we accommodate a maximum of two young people or two mother and baby households. We are a single sex unit and match according to the gender of the young people already in placement. The young people we support are aged between 16 and over.  We are fully compliant with the NEW draft guidelines for semi-independent provision.

Gyan Mudra is led and managed by qualified social workers, with over 20 years’ cumulative experience of working with vulnerable children and young people in care.  Our combined experience has led us to develop our own bespoke independence building program named FOUNDATION.   All our residents are asked to complete FOUNDATION which forms the backbone of our provision. 

Our multilingual staff are skilled in supporting: 

• Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). 

• Young people in care and leaving care 

• Young people engaged in and / or at risk of Child Exploitation 

• Young people who are NEET. 

• Young people who misuse substances and alcohol addiction. 

• Young people with a history of offending behaviour. 

• Mothers and babies placement.

• Young people who are "Not in Education, Employment or Training".
